At a minimum you should know what words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs are Word has many types. There are adjectives (nouns), nouns, verbs (adverbs) and adverbs. At a minimum you should know the difference and usage of these three types of words. Because there are rules like adjectives usually in front of nouns. After the subject is usually followed by verbs and some other rules. Phrase is a combination of two or more words. In writing usually phrases can be nouns. For example, that black dog sleeps under the table. In this sentence the subject is not just dogs but that black dogs. Sentence or a minimum sentence must have the element S + V + O, because if there are no three elements it is usually called a phrase / phrase. Paragraphs usually consist of 3-5 sentences. Usually the length or short paragraphs we value using feelings (ah too long or ah it seems short).
